1.A nice Sunday
It is Sunday and it is a fine day today. We come to the People Park with our English teacher who came from Canada. Look ! Tom and other five boys are playing football. Cina and some girl students are flying kites. Alice and I are taking photos near the park. Alice and we are very happy. Alice helps us a lot with our English.

A visit to the zoo.
I went to the zoo with my friends last Sunday. It was hot and sunny that day. It took us about two hours to get there by bus. There were thousands of people in the zoo. We saw lots of animals, such as, pandas, kangaroos, polar bears, gifaffes, elephants, tigers, wolves, snakes and so on. We also saw the elephant show. The elephants were so clever that they could do lots of things like us. At noon we had a picnic in the zoo. And then we thew the rubbish into the dustbin. We didn't go home until 5:00 in the afternoon. Although we were tired, we felt happy. 上周日我和朋友們去了動物園。

6. My best friend
Li Hua is my best friend. She is slim and beautiful with a pair of glasses. She is friendly and generous. She is good at English and I am good at maths so we often help each other. 7Ann’s Diary
Today was Sunday. Today was September 30th, 2004. It was a boring day. It was hot. I was not a work.
I watched TV all morning. The shows were boring. Then I called my friend, Nancy. She wasn’t at home. I didn’t know where she was.
At twelve I was hungry. There was not any food in the fridge. I was lazy. I was tired. Then I ate lunch outside. At one o’clock. I was in bed. In the afternoon I was at the movies. The film was boring. I'm glad tomorrow is Monday. I can go to school and see my friends.

8Drunk Driving
Nobody could have failed to notice the fact that drunk driving
has become a grave problem in China in the past few years. Reports
are often heard about deaths and injuries resulting from drunk
driving. Actually, the phenomenon has been so widespread that it
has caused nationwide concern.
A number of factors might have led to this problem, but the
following are the critical ones. First, as a nation known for wine
and drinking, Chinese have the custom of urging guests to drink
more and regard it as a sign of hospitality. Some even encourage
drivers to drink. Secondly, the boom of Chinese economy in the
past decades has brought along a sharp increase in the number of
private cars in this country. However, many drivers are not fully
aware of the danger of driving after drinking. Last but not least,
laws and regulations regarding drunk driving were not severe
enough in the past.
To our relief, we can see pertinent laws and regulations have
been worked out and enforced to punish those who drive after
drinking. However, I believe that more can be done to eliminate
drunk driving. For one thing, severer laws can be made and put
into effect. For another, the public should be educated about the
harmfulness of drunk driving and the importance of traffic safety.

9My Favorite Sports【我最喜愛的運動】
Sports help everyone to keep healthy, happy, and efficient. So I pay special attention to games, especially table-tennis. Table tennis is my favorite game. I play it almost every day.
Table-tennis is an ideal game us because it brings the whole body into action. It strengthens our muscles, expands our lungs, promotes the circulation of the blood, and causes a healthy action of the skin. Besides, it is very amusing and does not cost us much money. Table-tennis is very moderate; it is not so rough as football. It is an indoor game and can be played even on rainy days. Thus, it is my favorite kind of exercise.
