英語國際音標共.48個音素.，其中元音音素20個，輔音音素28個。
對于初學者來 說，若采用集中教學，要學會48個音素的發音并區別開。確實不易。
筆者對音標的教學采用了相對集中的方法，即從字母名稱教學過渡到部分音標教學。 一、將字母分類 英語的26個字母分兩種類型：一種叫元音字母，另一種叫輔音字母。
元音字母 有：a,e,i,0,u五個，其余為輔音字母。將字母按發音共同點分類，然后總結字母名 稱的讀音規律，從中可直觀地學習七個元音音素，即[ei][i:][aj)[,][u:][e][a：]。
