各位游客，大家好！ 萬仙山景區位于河南省輝縣市沙窯鄉境內，距新鄉市70多公里，面積達64平方公里，最高山峰海拔1672米，至峰頂可遠眺黃河，一覽逶迤群山。
景區由中華影視村——郭亮、清幽山鄉——南坪、人間仙境——羅姐寨三個分景區組成。主要景點有：紅巖絕壁大峽谷、影視村、絕壁長廊、天池、蓮花盆、白龍洞、喊泉、日月星石、黑龍潭瀑布、五峰山林海、黃龍洞、磨劍峰、羅姐寨、孫臏泉、七朗峰等200余處。
萬仙山并非名山，能在短短的數年間擠身于知名景區，憑得是什么呢？有人說，是拍電影拍出名的，有人說，是照像照出名的，而更多的人說，萬仙山是畫筆畫出名的，的確，每年來萬仙山臨景習作、繪畫寫生的人很多，全國有100多所院校把這里定為寫生基地，繪畫寫生對宣傳萬仙山景區起到了積極的影響。但更重要的是萬仙山景區風光秀美，集中了南太行的精華：赤巖絕壁雄渾、巍峨、粗獷、恢弘；紅巖絕壁翠峰重疊，高聳入云。
奇峰俏石立山巔，青風輕拂欲飄然，姿態迥異盈靈氣，恰似萬仙臨凡間。飛瀑、溶洞、老樹、巨石、古寨和石墻、石院、石房子的山村，成為一個個鮮活的亮點，點綴在景區之內。
萬仙山的由來 千峰無語立斜陽，萬壑有聲伴天籟。雄峻奇秀的萬仙山里沒有廟宇，不燒香火，為什么叫萬仙山呢？地質學家和神話傳說給予了兩種完全不同的回答。
地質學家認為，萬仙山和整個太行山脈一樣，形成于距今28億年前的新太古代。海底的基性巖漿噴發和酸性巖漿侵入，構成最早的基底巖系——花崗綠巖系。
巖層露出水面后，河流沖刷的沙粒，一層層的覆蓋，年復一年的沉積，泥沙層在地殼變動中，陷入海底，陷入地殼深處，經過沉積擠壓形成沉積巖。在距今20億年發生全球性地殼運動——“阜平運動”，地應力和溫壓效應的作用下，海底的花崗巖浮出海面，成為陸地，并變質為片麻巖類。
“阜平運動”產生的巨大應力和溫壓效應，使距今28—25億年間此區沉積于海底的新太石界花崗綠巖系，褶皺成石，隆升出海面，經受11億年的風化剝蝕，直至距14億年的中元古代薊縣紀才又沉入水下，形成濱海環境，接受沉積。隨著地殼裂變，幾經沉浮，幾度滄桑，形成這種多層重疊，皺折隆起，斷壁垂懸，巖層清晰的獨特地貌。
萬仙山的巖層構造是十分醒目的，深處是黑色的花崗巖，依次向上是紅色花崗巖、紅色沉積巖、黃色黑色的頁巖，萬仙山的峰頂均為石灰巖。 多少年來，據傳寶蓮燈的故事就發生在萬仙山。
農家子劉彥昌進京趕考途中，到三圣母廟內避雨，被三圣母看中，婚配生子。三圣母的哥哥二郎神知道后，惱羞成怒，說她有辱門風，以違反天條定罪，將三圣母壓在華山之下，三圣母的兒子沉香，被元始天尊抱走，教他習武學藝，沉香長大后，帶著斧頭劈山救母。
二郎神知道后，力阻沉香，惡戰數日，二郎神的劍、沉香的斧，砍削出聳立的紅巖絕壁。二郎神戰不過沉香，求玉皇大帝派天兵天將助陣。
天兵天將為沉香救母之心所感動，不愿幫二郎神作戰，留下個替身回天上去了，這些替身似人似仙，蹲立各異，千姿百態。萬仙山里的華山、磨劍峰、圣母洞都內涵一個個傳說故事。
1992年，國家建設部旅游資源調查組的專家到郭亮、南坪考察，時任沙窯鄉鄉長的劉興國和南坪村黨支部書記崔電亮給專家講了神話傳說，專家們聽了就給郭亮、南坪周圍的山峰定名為萬仙山。從此，沙窯風景區就成了萬仙山風景區。

將軍峰左右兩側壁立如削，高120余米。1996年，全國第四屆攀巖比賽就在將軍峰西側的巖壁上舉行，是萬仙山第一次舉辦這樣的體育盛會，從那一年開始，每年都有許多攀巖愛好者來這里練習。
攀巖活動是一項很好的體育鍛煉活動，誰如果有興趣攀巖，可以試一試，但一定要帶上保險繩。將軍峰也是美術學生繪畫寫生的最佳景點之一，來南坪寫生的學生都給將軍峰作過素描和速寫。
到南坪景區不能不看日月星石，這是一塊淡紅色的沉積巖，石面長2.28米，最寬處1.28米，最厚處1.07米。1995年，村民宋運林鑿石蓋房，在河邊破開一塊大石頭，見石板面上清晰地顯著太陽、月亮、星星的圖像，他立即收起鐵錘鋼鉆，把村里人叫來觀看，老支書崔電亮同志說這塊石頭是一塊奇石，一定要保存好。
石英巖屬于沉積巖，石頭內有這種逼真的圖案實屬罕見。村里人給這塊石頭定名為日月星石。
日月星石上的太陽呈圓形，乳白色，直徑33公分，圓心中有一個淡粉色的圓圈，直徑4公分；月亮呈月牙形，直徑16公分，月牙中間有一個直徑11公分的白色圖案，太陽挨著石頭的邊沿，似初升的紅日，右上方19公分處是彎彎的月牙，石面上的56個星星是56粒晶體狀。
