長春是東北三省吉林省的省會，位于松遼平原中部，是吉林省政治，經濟，方化，和交通中心，長春也是全國15個中心城市之一。它不大不小的建城面積為185平方公里，總人口為700萬人，其中市區人口為300萬人。
除漢族外，還主要居住著朝，回，滿等26個少數民族。 由于今天時間已晚，我直接帶大家到賓館休息。
這段時間，我來介紹一下長春的情況。到了長春，恐怕大家最初的印像只是從天地間掩映而來的白色。
雪對于來自南國的你們來說一定是很新鮮，而且很親切，在這樣興奮的時候，請大家記住戶外活動一定要多穿衣服，因為與白雪相伴而來的常常是20-30幾度的低溫，由于長春地處東北松遼平原位于吉林省的中部，處于東京125°18′與北緯43°55′的交插點上，所以，這樣的經緯度便決定了長春的氣候是屬于溫帶大陸性季風氣候，全年氣溫變化顯 著，最冷是在一月份，歷史上最低氣溫曾達到零下39.8℃。 那么，與浩浩五千年的中國歷史相比，長春是個非常年輕的城市。
在這里，我向大家提一個問題，有沒有人知道，為什么這個城市叫長春，這個名字是怎樣得來的呢？關于長春名字的由來，在1800 年清朝嘉慶5年，清王朝在長春堡，也就是今天的新立城設立了行政管理機關，名為長春廳，長春的名稱也由此延續下來。不過關于長春的得名還有一個非常美麗的傳說，就是在當時長春到處盛開著月季花，姹紫嫣紅，美不勝收，而月季花又被稱做長春花，所以長春也由此得名，雖然，這只是一個傳說，然而花園城市的美麗卻也象長春的名字一樣，一代代傳了下來。
后來，長春廳又升為長春府，長春縣，直倒1931年，日本帝國主義侵占東北，選中長春為其蓄意制造的所謂“新國家” 的首都，改名為“新京”。1945年第二次世界大戰以日本戰敗而告終，它在長春的統治也隨之瓦解。
之后，長春被國民黨軍隊占領了一段時間，直到1948年10月19日，長春正式解放。長春還有一個非常動聽的名字“春城”！在我們中國，還有一個“春城”，它是哪呢？對，那就是昆明，昆明之所以被稱為春城，是因為那里的氣候非常好，一年中最冷和最熱的時候溫度差不多，可謂“四季如春”！那么如果從氣候的角度稱長春為“春城”的話，恐怕就有些名不符實了！恰恰相反，長春是一個四季非常分明城市！ 春天的長春萬物復蘇，街道兩旁的樹木會一天天綠起來，可謂生機勃勃！春天里，長春最大的特點就是風大，最高時風力可達七到八級，直吹得風沙走石，塵土漫天，我們長春人稱之為“亂黃天”。
夏天的長春天氣比較熱，特別是最近幾年，長春的夏季高溫似乎與南方相差無幾，例如今年夏天，長春的最高氣溫就達到了零上35℃，不過需要跟大家說明的是，長春是熱與南方的熱是有許多差異的。首先在長春夏季高溫時間不會持續太長，一般也就是一個月左右，不會象諸位的家鄉那樣，一熱便是幾個月，其次，這里的晝夜溫差非常大，盡管中午的時候天氣熱得如同下火似的，但是早晨和晚上還是比較涼爽的，而南方則是早晚與中午的氣溫大體上差不多。
秋天的長春給人感覺有些蒼涼，因為這里沒有了農田，不會看到豐收的景象，相反，街道兩旁的樹上枯黃的葉子簌簌而下，真有一種秋風掃落葉的味道。 冬天長春的最大特點就是一個字“冷”！今年一月長春的最低氣溫是零下34℃，說到這兒我不禁要稱贊我們長春人的適應能力很強，大家想，這里最熱的時候是零上35℃，最冷的時候竟然低至到零下34℃，二者相差近70℃，那么，我們長春人在這樣的環境下依然生活得很好，是不是適應能力很強呢？ 因此，我們說長春在氣候上再不是一個四季如春的城市，它的春，夏，秋，冬都各具特色，那么，為什么還稱長春為春城呢？首先是長春的名字起的非常好，長春，春長（常）在，也就是說，春天會永遠留在我們長春，那位團友恐怕就要問了，你們長春人的想象力也太豐富了吧，難道就因為城市。
