網上認識的朋友向我推薦了這一部電影。
那位朋友非常喜歡拉美語言的電影，同時推薦的還有《露茜亞的情人》。看完《愛情是狗娘》，我已經打定主意去看《露茜亞的情人》了——一個人同時推薦的作品，水準上差不了太多吧。
此片的原名是Amores Perros，西班牙語，翻成英語后變成Love Is a Bitch，中文名稱就是從英文直譯過來的。在沒看完電影之前，我就懷疑這個西班牙名稱的英文翻譯有點問題。
因為Amores Perros只有兩個單詞，要么是名詞并列關系，要么是動賓關系，而英文名Love Is a Bitch突然變成了完整的主謂賓結構，肯定不是直譯了。看完了電影，我基本確定這個英語翻譯的過度表達。
有些電影，看了一遍之后很長一段時間你都不愿再看第二遍——當然不是電影太糟糕，只是你不想再去搬動那份感情。但有些電影，總是迫使你馬上再回顧一遍。
這種類型的電影展示了鏡頭語言的敘事技巧和劇本的精巧結構，像一條精雕細琢的核舟，值得你去用放大鏡反復推敲他的細節。我看過的此類電影有Crash《撞車》，網狀的交織結構；還有Pulp Fiction《低俗小說》，用回針串聯起來的三段體；還有Elephant《大象》，多線平行發展，最后匯于一點。
在2002年的嘎納影展上，不少影評家把Amores Perros和《低俗小說》作比較。但我認為純粹從結構來講，它更像《大象》：多線平行發展，用交點來互相聯系。
只不過《大象》的劇情的交點是在結尾，而Amores Perros的交點是在中間。 劇情由三個故事組成。
第一個故事，主人公A愛上自己哥哥的老婆想和她遠走高飛。為了攢錢把自己的愛犬拿去參加斗狗賭博。
第二個故事，雜志社老板婚外和一個當紅女模B相好，后來為了和B在一起，他與老婆分手，買了房子與B同居。第三個故事，拋棄事業家庭參加革命黨后來入獄多年的主人公C，念念不忘與自己分離多年的女兒。
他出獄后的職業是帶著一群狗撿垃圾的流浪漢和警察局頭頭的御用殺手。 這三個故事中的主人公由于一場車禍，命運都發生了轉變。
我試著想把這個150分鐘的故事大概用較小的篇幅說一下，但失敗了。這樣做或許意義也不大。
影片一開始是非常頻繁的平行剪切，把三個主人公的背景都交代清楚。車禍發生后，A的故事就告一段落，主要筆墨就花在女模B的故事上，不再有那么頻繁的轉切，并且女模B的故事感情戲較多，動作戲較少，所以原本富有動感的節奏一下子陷入平緩。
最后流浪漢C的故事又再次恢復了開頭的感覺：暴力加柔情。總的感覺是，女模B的故事沒有混合好，打亂了原先的節奏，使故事的中段顯得有些冗長。
如果能剪成兩小時內的版本，我覺得會更好。 電影中每個主人公的命運都和狗相聯系。
狗是他們愛的寄托。A的狗給了他與哥哥老婆遠走高飛的希望；女模B的寵物狗是她在愛情事業受到威脅后的精神依賴；流浪漢C的狗是他對故去妻子和分離許久的女兒的替代。
他們愛狗，原因是他們愛人。然而影片中的人物都失去了他們自己的狗。
A的狗被打傷，在車禍后被C撿去了；B的狗跑到了破了洞的地板下面，沒有出來；C撿回來的那條狗把他養的其它狗全咬死了。與此對應，A最后在車站沒有等到他愛的女人；B失去了一條腿，生活和愛情出現了無法愈合的創傷。
而C，這個影片中的靈魂人物，唯一帶給了我們黑暗中的希望。當他看到愛犬被咬死時，拔出了手槍，但他最終沒有殺死那條肇事的狗。
狗是無辜的，它的殘暴遠遠比不上人類。當他失去了所有自己的狗后，他或許感覺到了因果輪回。
那條肇事的狗讓他重新開始思考。于是他放棄了刺殺的任務，并開了一個小小的玩笑。
他剪了胡子，剪了頭發，穿上了新衣服。當他完成了重新做人的標志后，他偷偷進入女兒的家，把上次偷拿的全家福照片還給她，并把賺來的錢留給了女兒。
他坐在女兒的床上，不停播放著留言機里女兒的聲音。他在留言機里留下了他對女兒的思念和愛，然后他賣去了車子，和那條狗走進了茫茫的世間。
影片最后的鏡頭意味著他將去尋找他自己的生活。他或許還會結婚生子，還會擁有愛他的人。
這是失去一切后心靈最大的安慰和救贖——繼續走下去，和自己的狗。 所以再次回到影片的名字。
根據英語翻譯，Amores Perros兩個單詞分別應該是愛和狗的意思。當然并不排除狗在前面作動詞的可能。
但是影片的主題并不是像英文名表達的那樣咒罵愛情和愛，即影片并沒有涉及bitch這個單詞的任何內涵。所以我做出了這樣的判斷：Amores Perros就是愛和狗的并列，amores是愛，因為和adore很像，perros是狗，因為和puppy很像。
我后來特意去網上在線翻譯了一下，證實了我的想法。 當然中文名字在英文翻譯過度表達的基礎上又犯了詞義上的錯誤。
Love Is a Bitch中的love，并不單指愛情，而是包括了親情的更廣泛的愛。所以最恰當的翻譯我認為就是《愛·狗》。
我這樣斟酌并不是沒有意義的。不少針對這部影片的評論都在bitch上做文章，我認為是受翻譯的影象，是不妥當的。
可能Amores Perros在劇情結構和節奏的掌握上，還并不是最完美的，但細節的把握和演員精彩的表演完全彌補了這些不足。流浪漢C的大頭照被他自己貼在了偷拿來的全家福上。
