伊索（公元前620年~公元前560年），公元前6世紀古希臘著名的寓言家，與克雷洛夫、拉·封丹和萊辛并稱世界四大寓言家。他曾是薩摩斯島雅德蒙家的奴隸，曾被轉賣多次.但因知識淵博，聰穎過人，最后獲得自由。之后，伊索開始環游世界，為人們講述他的寓言故事，受到古希臘人民的喜愛。
