4.英文 長句斷句及求翻譯

the very翻譯做甚至于我覺得不太合適，the very是用來強調survival of the species的，相當于“這樣的”，比如 it is the very day that。.其中the very 沒有什么實際意義，只用于強調day而已。
be at stake to sth這個我還真不知道是什么意思，應該就是有危險，受威脅的意思吧。
