它也是作者的代表作，嚴謹些說，很多選詩的書籍都選這首。伴侶會英文的朋友們可以試著送這首給他或她，收效會很顯著。
當然，也可以模仿著寫一些，效果更好。 此詩的作者ELIZABETH BARRETT BROWNING[伊麗莎白·巴雷特·勃朗寧]于公元1806年出生在達翰姆（英格蘭北部一郡--筆者注）。
1838年，她出版了《撒拉弗和其它詩篇》[撒拉佛——六翼天使（九級天使中地位最高者），又稱：熾愛天使——筆者注]。1843年，由于當時英國的最高統治者是女性，伊麗莎白于國家詩人的提名得到了更加廣泛的支持。
