Once upon a time there were three little pigs. One pig built a house of straw while the second pig built his house with sticks. They built their houses very quickly and then sang and danced all day because they were lazy. The third little pig worked hard all day and built his house with bricks.
A big bad wolf saw the two little pigs while they danced and played and thought, “What juicy tender meals they will make!” He chased the two pigs and they ran and hid in their houses. The big bad wolf went to the first house and huffed and puffed and blew the house down in minutes. The frightened little pig ran to the second pig's house that was made of sticks. The big bad wolf now came to this house and huffed and puffed and blew the house down in hardly any time. Now, the two little pigs were terrified and ran to the third pig's house that was made of bricks.
The big bad wolf tried to huff and puff and blow the house down, but he could not. He kept trying for hours but the house was very strong and the little pigs were safe inside. He tried to enter through the chimney but the third little pig boiled a big pot of water and kept it below the chimney. The wolf fell into it and died.
The two little pigs now felt sorry for having been so lazy. They too built their houses with bricks and lived happily ever after.

大灰狼用力撞一下，小木房搖一搖。大灰狼又用力撞了一下，木房就倒了，呼呼和嚕嚕急忙逃出木房，邊跑邊喊：“大灰狼來了！大灰狼來了！”磚房里的嘟嘟聽了，連忙打開門，讓呼呼和嚕嚕進來，又緊緊地把門關上。
大灰狼來到磚房前，叫小豬嘟嘟開門。嘟嘟不肯開。
大灰狼用力撞一下，磚房一動也不動，又撞一下，磚房還是一動也不動。大灰狼用盡全身力氣，對磚房重重地撞了一下，磚房還是一動也不動。
大灰狼頭上撞出了三個疙瘩，四腳朝天地跌倒在地上。大灰狼還是不甘心，看到房頂上有一個大煙囪，就爬上房頂，從煙囪里鉆進去。
三只小豬忙在爐膛里添了許多柴，燒了一鍋開水。大灰狼從煙囪里鉆進去，結果跌進熱鍋，被開水燙死了。
老大呼呼難過地對嘟嘟說：“蓋草房雖然最省力，但是很不結實，以后我要多花力氣蓋磚房。” 老二嚕嚕也難過地對嘟嘟說：“蓋木房雖然省力，但是不結實，以后我要多花力氣蓋磚房。”
嘟嘟高興地說：“好，讓我們一起來蓋一座大的磚房，把媽媽也接來，大家一起住吧！”。

* Fox and the Monkey
A Monkey once danced in an assembly of the Beasts, and so pleased them all by his performance that they elected him their King. A Fox, envying him the honor, discovered a piece of meat lying in a trap, and leading the Monkey to the place where it was, said that she had found a store, but had not used it, she had kept it for him as treasure trove of his kingdom, and counseled him to lay hold of it. The Monkey approached carelessly and was caught in the trap; and on his accusing the Fox of purposely leading him into the snare, she replied, "Oh Monkey, and are you, with such a mind as yours, going to be King over the Beasts?"

There was a little boy with a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, to hammer a nail in the back fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence.
Then it gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.
The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence.
He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say 'I'm sorry', the wound is still there."
