就連莫里哀喜劇《偽君子》中的達爾杜弗都比他高尚，至少他從不掩飾自己最為騙子的本性和目的，只是手段比較低下，而像安吉爾這類人，本質也是一個偽君子，卻自以為是一個圣人。更悲慘的是，無論在文學作品中，還是在現實中，都偏偏是這類人獲得了純潔女子的愛情，卻往往辜負了這份愛情。
