再說烏龜，爬得也真慢，可是他一個勁兒地爬，爬呀，爬呀，爬，等他爬到兔子身邊，已經累壞了。兔子還再睡覺，烏龜也想休息一會兒，可他知道兔子跑得比他快，只有堅持爬下去才有可能贏。于是，他不停地往前爬、爬、爬。離大樹越來越近了，只差幾十步了，十幾步了，幾步了………終于到了。
兔子呢？他還在睡覺呢！兔子醒來后往后一看，唉，烏龜怎么不見了？再往前一看，哎呀，不得了了！烏龜已經爬到大樹底下了。兔子一看可急了，急忙趕上去可已經晚了，烏龜已經贏了。烏龜勝利了。
兔子跑得快，烏龜跑得慢，為什么這次比賽烏龜反而贏了呢？

The hare was once boasting of his speed before the other animals. "I have never been beaten," he said, "when I run at full speed, no one is faster than me."
