3.英語沙龍是一項什么的活動
沙龍，它是一個由外文直接音譯過來的詞語，法語Salon，中文意即上層人物住宅中的豪華會客廳。這個詞語的最初演變是從十七、十八世紀的法國開始的，當時法國圖書及各種宣傳工具并不普及，也不發達，一些名媛貴婦常把客廳變成的社交場所，邀請文人學士在自己的客廳中，朗誦自己的新作、傳播信息等，志趣相投的人，聚會一堂，一邊呷著飲料，欣賞典雅的音樂，一邊就共同感興趣的各種問題抱膝長談，無拘無束。因此作為社交場所的沙龍，具有很大的影響力。法國最有名的沙龍要屬巴黎的朗布伊耶宅邸，這里集中了當時法國的許多名流、學者。
后來，人們便把這種形式的聚會叫做“沙龍”，并風靡于歐美各國文化界，十九世紀是它的鼎盛時期。
所以，這里的沙龍是一種引申的意思，有關**的問題集合在一起探討就可以說是**沙龍。有本英語雜志名為英語沙龍，不是也有個總統名沙龍的嘛
