最原始的方法就是加冰，如果你覺得味道太濃的話，可以加青檸檬或青橙調和。酒吧通常會將伏特加作為調雞尾酒之用。伏特加源于俄羅斯，我最早認為伏特加就好像中國的老白干，其實論起勁頭來，伏特加遠遠遜色老白干。真正的俄羅斯伏特加酒其實只有40度，度數還不算太高吧。先說說喝酒的杯子，要小杯，小的好像我們喝白酒用的酒盅，用大杯的恐怕就有酒鬼之嫌。喝前一定要做好準備工作，記得切好酸黃瓜。我們中國人喝酒講究品酒，說是咂么滋味，這樣才能享受到酒的香醇，喝急了喝快了，有暴殄天物的嫌疑。不過喝伏特加可是個例外，這種酒是不能品的，要一口悶。初學者請參照以下步驟：
左手拿一段酸黃瓜，右手拿酒杯，吸氣，然后一口悶下去，左手的酸黃瓜這時要放到嘴里去。哈！容易吧。不過一般人，一盅伏特加下去之后就會馬上感到頭暈了。伏特加的后勁很大，一口悶下去之后，酒勁馬上就會返上來。伏特加酒燒嗓子，這也就是為什么不能品的原因。喝伏特加之前，可以先放入冰箱一小會兒，稍微涼一點味道會更好。
到俄羅斯旅游，馬路上，公共場所是可以喝啤酒的，伏特加是不允許的。如果你看到有俄羅斯年輕人拿著紙盒裝的果汁（1L的）在喝，哈，那可不是果汁，里面攙了伏特加的。
另外說一段插曲，我有生以來第一次真正喝醉，就是喝伏特加，是俄羅斯一個叫弗拉基米爾（Vladimir）的城市產的，俄很有名的一個城市。我可不是酗酒呀，是去看親戚，大家高興一起喝。總之醉的十分厲害，過程在此省略，我當時躺在床上想，完了，這回一定翹辮子了。第二天是十一點多起的床，因為要趕火車，不過最最奇怪的是，我居然一點頭疼的感覺都沒有，只稍微還有些暈呼，沒睡足，歸根結底還是因為喝的伏特加質量好，比較純。所以，大家在選購伏特加等烈性酒的時候，一定要選質量好的。不過，畢竟酒多傷身，喝酒還是適可而止的好。
還有的喝法就是深水炸彈，是種比較經典的喝法。把小杯的伏特加連杯帶酒一起垂直放入一大杯札啤，要有一定的酒量才行

材料
伏特加----------------45ml
蕃茄汁----------------20ml
半月形檸檬片-----------1片
芹菜根-----------------1根
用具：拌長匙、平底杯
做法：
1.將冰塊倒入杯中，倒入伏特加。
2.把多于伏特加2~3倍的冰冷果汁倒入杯中，輕輕攪勻。
3.以檸檬做裝飾，附上一根芹菜。
