老二嚕嚕連忙說：“我就用這木頭蓋間木房吧。”老三嘟嘟還是向前走去，走著，走著，看見前面有一堆磚頭。
嘟嘟高興地說：“我就用這磚蓋間磚房吧。”于是，嘟嘟一塊磚一塊磚地蓋起來。
不一會兒，汗出來了，胳膊也酸了，嘟嘟還不肯歇一下。花了三個月時間，磚房終于蓋好啦！小豬嘟嘟樂得直笑。
山后邊住著一只大灰狼，它聽說來了三只小豬，哈哈大笑說：“三只小豬來得好，正好讓我吃個飽！”大灰狼來到草房前，叫小豬呼呼開門。呼呼不肯開。
大灰狼用力撞一下，草房就倒了。呼呼急忙逃出草房，邊跑邊喊：“大灰狼來了！大灰狼來了！”木房里的嚕嚕聽見了，連忙打開門，讓呼呼進來，又把門緊緊地關上。
大灰狼來到木房前，叫小豬嚕嚕開門。嚕嚕不肯開。
大灰狼用力撞一下，小木房搖一搖。大灰狼又用力撞了一下，木房就倒了，呼呼和嚕嚕急忙逃出木房，邊跑邊喊：“大灰狼來了！大灰狼來了！”磚房里的嘟嘟聽了，連忙打開門，讓呼呼和嚕嚕進來，又緊緊地把門關上。
大灰狼來到磚房前，叫小豬嘟嘟開門。嘟嘟不肯開。
大灰狼用力撞一下，磚房一動也不動，又撞一下，磚房還是一動也不動。大灰狼用盡全身力氣，對磚房重重地撞了一下，磚房還是一動也不動。
大灰狼頭上撞出了三個疙瘩，四腳朝天地跌倒在地上。大灰狼還是不甘心，看到房頂上有一個大煙囪，就爬上房頂，從煙囪里鉆進去。
三只小豬忙在爐膛里添了許多柴，燒了一鍋開水。大灰狼從煙囪里鉆進去，結果跌進熱鍋，被開水燙死了。
老大呼呼難過地對嘟嘟說：“蓋草房雖然最省力，但是很不結實，以后我要多花力氣蓋磚房。” 老二嚕嚕也難過地對嘟嘟說：“蓋木房雖然省力，但是不結實，以后我要多花力氣蓋磚房。”
嘟嘟高興地說：“好，讓我們一起來蓋一座大的磚房，把媽媽也接來，大家一起住吧！”。

The two little pigs now felt sorry for having been so lazy. They too built their houses with bricks and lived happily ever after.
