聯想運用：

句型解剖： ……,as is did in the case of sb / sth——某人、某事就是這么一個例子；就像某人、某事那樣。
在寫作中，同學們往往習慣用 “sb/sth is such an example”作為過渡來表示 “某人、某事就是這么一個例子”, 殊不知該表達已經落入陳詞濫調。
而上述過渡短語“as it did in the case of”卻給人眼前一亮、耳目一新的感覺。
其中的“case”就等同于“example”。
而該結構的具體用法是：as it did in the case of之前通過一句話來描述一件事情或者一個現象，然后跟上短語as it did in the case of，并在其后面補充具體某人或某事（做前面那件事的人或符合前面那個現象的事情），如果后面有進一步修飾的需要，可以像例句那樣再添加一個定語從句進行補充說明。
聯想運用：
1）有時候亂子會鬧得很大，就像最近在悉尼所發生的那場連環交通事故那樣, 造成100人死亡。

3. Cats never fail to fascinate human beings. ( Lesson 9)
句型解剖：never fail to do sth——總能做某事；肯定會做某事。
never fail to 的字面意思是“不會失敗做某事”，但考慮到漢語語言的習慣，作者把它翻成“總能做某事”。
其實這個表達使用了雙重否定的結構：never是否定詞，fail是具有否定意義的詞。
用never fail to do sth 表示“總能做某事”比“can always”表達更遠離中式英文的嫌疑，同樣也使說話口氣更具強調性。
另外，我們還可以從這個短語中得到一定的啟發： never/not/ no + fail、avoid、evade、 miss、shortage、freedom(遠離)等帶有否定意義的詞，都能構成雙重否定。
聯想運用：
1) 如果你收到這樣的懇求，你肯定會遵照執行的。
