詞，詩歌的一種。
因是合樂的歌詞，故又稱曲子詞、樂府、樂章、長短句、詩余、琴趣等。始于唐，定型于五代，盛于宋。
宋詞是中國古代文學皇冠上光輝奪目的一顆巨鉆，在古代文學的閬苑里，她是一座芬芳絢麗的園圃。她以姹紫嫣紅、千姿百態的風神，與唐詩爭奇，與元曲斗艷，歷來與唐詩并稱雙絕，都代表一代文學之盛。
后有同名書籍《宋詞》。 簡介 宋詞是繼唐詩之后的又一種文學體裁，基本分為：婉約派、豪放派兩大類。
婉約派的代表人物：宋代詞人：李清照、柳永、秦觀等。 豪放派的代表人物：辛棄疾、蘇軾、岳飛、陳亮等。
遠從《詩經》、《楚辭》及《漢魏六朝詩歌》里汲取營養，又為后來的明清戲劇小說輸送了養分。 直到今天，她仍在陶冶著人們的情操，給人們帶來很高的藝術享受。
詞的初期極盡艷麗浮華，流行于市井酒肆之間，是一種通俗的藝術形式，五代時期的《花間集》就很明顯地展露了詞美麗絢爛的文采，但是這期間的詞題材還僅限于描寫閨情花柳、笙歌飲宴等方面，可以說還顯得很“小氣”。 雖然藝術成就上已經達到了相當的水準，但是在思想內涵上層次還不夠。
宋代初期的詞一開始也是沿襲這種詞風，追求華麗詞藻和對細膩情感的描寫。像曾因寫過“忍把浮名，換了淺斟低唱”而得罪了仁宗皇帝的柳永，郁郁不得志，一生就流連于歌坊青樓之間，給歌妓們寫寫詞。
所謂“凡有井水飲處，即能歌柳詞”。當時的詞被認為是一種粗俗的民間藝術，不登大雅之堂，以至于宋朝的晏殊在當上宰相之后，對于他以前所做的詞都不承認是自己寫的。
宋朝的艷妓之多，水平之高為其它朝代所罕有，她們和宋朝的才子們一起共同推動了詞這一新興藝術形式在民間的廣泛流傳。 但是，隨著詞在宋代的文學中占據越來越重要的地位，詞的內涵也在不斷地充實和提高。
“人不寐，將軍白發征夫淚。”奠定了邊塞詞在宋詞中的地位，使只聞歌筵酒席、宮廷豪門、都市風情、脂粉相思之類的世人一新耳目。
到蘇軾詞首開豪放詞風，宋詞已經不僅限于文人士大夫寄情娛樂和表達兒女之情的玩物，更寄托了當時的士大夫對時代、對人生乃至對社會政治等各方面的感悟和思考。 宋詞徹底跳出了歌舞艷情的巢窠，升華為一種代表了時代精神的文化形式。

6. 關于唐詩的英文鑒賞
李商隱的<落花>這是一首專詠落花的唐詩。
首聯寫落花與人的心情，含蓄蘊籍耐人尋味。頷聯從不同角度描寫落花“亂飛”的具體情狀。
頸聯直接抒發情感，巴望花不再落而不能。末聯寫花為裝點春天而開，卻落得飄零沾衣的結局。
表達了素懷壯志，不見用于世的凄婉和感慨。全詩洋溢著傷春惜花之感，情思如癡，委婉動人。
